Hey there! My name is Emily Logan, and I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC). With a strong enthusiasm for supporting the mental health and emotional well-being of children, adolescents, and young adults, I specialize in treating conditions such as attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral concerns. I am dedicated to creating individualized care plans for young people that promote coping, resilience, and long-term stability.

I was raised in Southwest Florida, where I earned my undergraduate degree from Florida Gulf Coast University and subsequently began working in the field of medical billing. Realizing my passion for direct patient care, I transitioned to medical assisting with roles in primary care and women’s health, ultimately leading me to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Methodist College in Peoria, Illinois. During grad school, I was employed at a college health clinic, where I saw firsthand the critical need for mental healthcare among young people. After completing my MSN, my family relocated to Middle Tennessee, where I gained invaluable nursing experience working in a pediatric primary care clinic while obtaining a Post-Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Care.

My diverse background in pediatrics, women’s health, and college health services has provided me with a well-rounded understanding of patient care. This experience, combined with my training, has deepened my appreciation for holistic, patient-centered care. I work closely with therapists, physicians, and other providers to integrate medication management, brief psychotherapy, and lifestyle changes into treatment plans.

I am particularly passionate about reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and advocating for children and their families, working to ensure they have access to the care, resources, and support they need during some of the most formative years of life. I believe in the power of family involvement in treatment, and I work to create a supportive space for both patients and their families to navigate emotional distress together. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and your family in supporting your journey toward better mental health and well-being!
